GO: ‘I Know Who Killed Me’ at the Brattle Theatre

“I Know Who Killed Me” should offend the tastes of any sane person, yet the folks at Harvard Square’s Brattle Theatre see the Lindsay Lohan flop as a future midnight-movie classic, coining it “the stuff of cult legend.” Who are we to argue? Lohan sheds her clothes and dignity in this mystery/thriller playing goody-two-shoes Aubrey Fleming, a missing teen who is found mutilated. As Aubrey recovers, she insists she is Dakota Moss, a stripper from the wrong side of the tracks. Aubrey’s dual identity horrifies her parents and lends itself as one of 2007’s worst performances. Tonight and tomorrow at midnight.

GO: Opera at the movies: Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’ at Regal Fenway Stadium

It’s opera, but you can eat popcorn. Hold on, we’ll let that sink in. You get the fat ladies in costumes plus buttery, delicious popcorn you can munch in your seat. Pretty sweet, eh? Continuing its attendance-breaking series that began in December with “Romeo et Juliette,” New York’s Metropolitan Opera transmits its live production of Verdi’s “MacBeth” in high definition to movie theaters worldwide tomorrow. Conducted by the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s James Levine and priced at $22 for adults, the 1:30 p.m. Saturday matinee is a perfect chance to experience opera without having to take out a second mortgage to pay for tickets. For additional New England theater locations, go to metopera.org.

TRY: Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream SPF 23.

The recently revamped age-deterrent skin care collection – with the Fountain of Youth ingredient Abyssine 657, made of material harvested from the deepest recesses of the ocean – is now available at Kiehl’s locations nationwide. Because, well, the world wreaks havoc on our skin, the fine folks in Kiehl’s chemistry lab sought to boost the already-potent Abyssine formula with five new formulas. Fortified with Corallina extract, an antioxidant, the new formula will whip your tired, dry skin into supple shape. $45 at 112 Newbury St. or go to kiehls.com.

GO: Boston Celtic Music Festival

BCMFest is a grassroots event created by musicians. Since Boston has become America’s Celtic music hot spot, this youthful, fiddle-centric fest is hopping with more than 100 talents. Celtic doesn’t just mean Irish, either. There’s Cape Breton, Scottish and this is one event when Brittany music has nothing to do with Spears. Tonight’s shows include Cambridge’s Club Passim and the wild Urban Ceilidh dance at Medford’s Springstep. Tomorrow is a fun, multiple-stage affair with music all day at First Parish Church in Harvard Square and Passim, too. Most tickets are $15. Go to BCMFest.com or call 617-492-7679.

BUY: ‘Office’ supplies

What do we hate most about the writers strike? No new episodes of “The Office.” Instead of watching last season on DVD again, we’re getting our “Office” fix by stocking up on clothes and tchotchkes from the show’s Web store. Who knew there was so much “Office” stuff available? So now we’ve got a World’s Best Boss coffee mug of our own. And, even better, our own Dwight Schrute bobblehead. OK, it’s true – the writers strike is starting to drive us insane.
