Kylie announces homecoming dates
Kylie Minogue
Minogue had a lump removed from her breast in May
Pop star Kylie Minogue will perform in Australia at the end of next year - 18 months later than originally scheduled.

The singer cancelled the Australian leg of her Showgirl tour in May when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Those dates have now been rescheduled for the end of 2006, according to tour promoter Michael Gudinski.

"Kylie's been thinking about these shows a lot over the past months," he said. Exact dates would be announced in the new year, he added.

"Kylie's touched that so many of her fans are waiting so patiently for the rescheduling of her Showgirl tour," he continued.

'Patience and understanding'

The 2006 version of the concert will be updated from the original version "as a thank you for the patience and understanding of Australian ticket holders".

The announcement followed news that Minogue will be making a live version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, recorded at Earls Court in London earlier this year, available to download from Christmas Day.

Eight further live tracks and three video tracks will be available to download from early December.

Highlights from Minogue's Earls Court concert were broadcast in Australia on Sunday.
