Rajkovic made 13 appearances on-loan at PSV Eindoven last season
Former England boss Steve McClaren has made his first signing at FC Twente after agreeing a one-year loan deal for Chelsea centre-back Slobodan Rajkovic.
The 19-year-old was on loan at PSV Eindhoven last season and McClaren was delighted to beat off competition from several clubs to sign the Serbian.
"Chelsea have already seen his qualities and signed him," he said.
"When we got the chance to add him to our group we immediately did so. Many clubs wanted his signature."
Rajkovic is rated as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, with Chelsea splashing out a reported £3.5m for him as a 16-year-old back in 2005.
"I am pleased we have been able to add a young player with his qualities to our squad - he can play in several positions in defence," added McClaren.
McClaren signed a two-year deal with the Dutch side, who are in the qualifying rounds for the Champions League, last month.
