Scunthorpe have appointed Nigel Adkins as manager on a permanent basis as successor to previous boss Brian Laws.
The 41-year-old was placed in temporary charge following Laws and assistant Russ Wilcox's move to take over at Sheffield Wednesday on 6 November.
Adkins' contract will run for a minimum of a year and he will be supported by Andy Crosby, Ian Baraclough and Tony Daws until the end of the season.
The position of assistant manager will be reviewed in the close season.
606 DEBATE: Is Adkins the right man for Scunthorpe?
Adkins has steered Scunthorpe to second place in the League One table with two wins and a draw in the league since he took temporary charge - although they bowed out of the FA Cup in the second round against Wrexham.
He joined Scunthorpe in 1996 as the club physiotherapist, and in recent years has taken on coaching and fitness training roles.
