Southend United have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Lee Sawyer on a three-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old has been brought in by United boss Steve Tilson the youngster following the sale of Nick Bailey to Charlton Athletic.
The England youth international has made one substitute appearance for Chelsea in the Premier League.
Sawyer was part of the Chelsea youth team which reached the final of the FA Youth Cup last season.
