Grays Athletic's relegation from the Blue Square Premier was confirmed by their goalless draw with Kettering.

Knowing that only victory would prevent their demise - albeit more than likely only temporarily - Grays put in a spirited display and dominated.

Alsseny Cissoko was twice denied by Town keeper Lee Harper and Harlee Dean and Alex Osborn had efforts blocked.

Kettering's James Jennings hit the bar with an early free-kick and James Dance also missed second-half chances.

The draw extends the home side's winless streak to 19 games and sees manager Julian Dicks relegated in his first season in charge at the New Recreation Ground.

Kettering drop to seventh in the table, seven points off the play-off places with four games to play.
