ELLIOTT: I'LL BOUNCE BACK.
Robbie Elliott is vowing to return to soccer early next year despite being written off for the season.Bolton's pounds 2.5million record signing from Newcastle gave the upbeat message to manager Colin Todd as he recovers in hospital from a double leg fracture.
Elliott, who was injured against Everton on Monday night, also promised visiting team-mates that he would be back ahead of schedule.
Todd said: "I have no doubts about Robbie at all. He's young enough and has shown good resolve.
"I know he will apply himself proper-ly for the months to come. We haven't said he will be out all season but it will be a long time. The sad thing for Robbie is that he's not had time to settle in. It's a real setback for him and for us."
Todd is patching up his team for the match at Arsenal a week on Saturday.
Defenders Gerry Taggart and Neil Cox have hamstring pulls. And Bolton are still sweating over a work permit for pounds 2m Mark Fish.
The former Lazio centre-back hopes that red tape will be cut next week and says: "I hope that in two or three years I will be helping Bolton to challenge for the game's top honours."
