Endemol Shine UK is growing its online footprint with two separate acquisitions. The company says it has bought short-form and branded content production house Electric Robin along with digital talent management firm OP Talent. The companies will augment the existing commercial department which already includes digital studio Endemol Beyond UK; short programming creators ChannelFlip; and social talent agency FlipSide.
Electric Robin, a director-led business spanning commercials, branded entertainment and original material, was founded by Kevin Batchelor and Ross Brandon in 2013. Doritos and Superdry have been among its brand clients. It’s also created promos for BBC and ITV competition giants Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent.
OP Talent’s stable includes 11 of the UK’s top online influencers. Among them, game commentator KSI who is the most watched individual in the UK with nearly 12M YouTube subscribers; Legends Of Gaming host Ali-A; and YouTube prankster Comedy Shorts Gamer. The firm works with entertainment companies, brands and marketing agencies to create content opportunities, brand integrations and product sponsorships for its stars.
Both Electric Robin and OP Talent will operate independently within the Endemol Shine group.
