Progress Not Updating – Lessons Completed Not Reflected on Account or Timeline Log #61264

Description

Describe the Issue

Even after completing several lessons on freeCodeCamp, my progress is not being reflected in my account. The timeline log still shows my last activity as over a year ago, despite actively working on new lessons recently. This makes it hard to track my actual progress and completion status.

Affected Page

N/A – Issue is with the overall user progress tracking system on the freeCodeCamp platform.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to your freeCodeCamp account.
  2. Complete any lesson in a certification course (e.g., Responsive Web Design).
  3. Go to the profile timeline or certification page.
  4. Observe that the progress or completion status has not updated.

Expected behavior

Completed lessons should be reflected immediately on the user's account, and the timeline log should accurately display the latest activity date.

System

  • Device: [Laptop]
  • OS: [Windows 11]
  • Browser: [Chrome]
  • Version: [126.0.6478.127]

Additional context

I’ve tried logging out and back in, refreshing the browser, and using different devices—but the issue persists. It appears to be a backend sync issue with user progress and timeline logging. Please look into this, as it affects learning motivation and certification tracking.
