LAS VEGAS, NV - JANUARY 08: Actor and WWE personality "Stone Cold" Steve Austin appears at a news conference announcing the WWE Network at the 2014 International CES at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on January 8, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The network will launch on February 24, 2014 as the first-ever 24/7 streaming network, offering both scheduled programs and video on demand. The USD 9.99 per month subscription will include access to all 12 live WWE pay-per-view events each year. CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology trade show, runs through January 10 and is expected to feature 3,200 exhibitors showing off their latest products and services to about 150,000 attendees. The biggest star of the WWE's Attitude era is 2K Games' surprising choice to be the cover star of WWE 2K16, scheduled to be released in October. Stone Cold Steve Austin, who retired in 2003 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009, said the honor "caught me completely off guard."

2K Games released a special Austin 3:16 edition of WWE 2K13, but before that the last WWE videogame featuring Austin on the cover was WrestleMania XIX, released in 2003.

2016 is potentially a very big year for the Texas rattlesnake. He'll be on the cover of the official WWE videogame, and with WrestleMania 32 being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, many suspect Austin could make a comeback for one final match. Austin says it isn't going to happen and that his battle with The Rock at WrestleMania XIX was his last match -- but you can't rule anything out in professional wrestling.
