I think GNOME would probably want a simpler editor for the default, such as "Drawing", but it would be nice if Pinta were a GNOME Circle app and could benefit from some tighter integration and support overall. It's the perfect balance between much lighter apps and the heavyweights, and an essential tool for avid designers and photographers like myself. |

I recently came across Pinta, and I have to say—I absolutely love it! Coming from a Windows background, I used to rely on Paint.NET for quick and simple image editing. After switching to Linux, I was looking for something that could match that experience, and Pinta fits the bill perfectly.
One of the best things about Pinta is how well it integrates with the GNOME desktop. The look and feel align beautifully with the modern GNOME design, making it feel like a native app. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and has all the essential tools I need for basic editing, drawing, and quick touch-ups.
Personally, I think Pinta should be the official image editing app for GNOME. It strikes the right balance between simplicity and functionality, making it a great alternative to heavier editors like GIMP. Great work!!
