I am interested in implementing PDF support in Pinta, allowing users to import PDFs as raster layers and export layers as multi-page PDF documents.

Before proceeding, I would like to confirm the following:

1. Is there any ongoing work related to PDF support that I should be aware of?
2. Has the implementation of PDF support been discussed previously, and if so, are there any decisions or guidelines regarding its scope?
3. Would it be appropriate for me to open a new issue proposing this feature, or is further discussion needed before proceeding?
