Im currently on mobile but there is an issue that I've opened that outlines the major causes of the current lag. The reason why this issue Always reappears is since new feature and rewrites of the code often can induce ineffiencies that need to be fixed after the fact. |

I wish I understood the code better. Keystroke lag causes typographical errors even for touch typists. It's like Zettlr is doing a lot between keystrokes. I could get more words on the page if data entry were separate from this processing. It's okay if spell check or |

Yes, LanguageTool has some delays. Perhaps there should be an option to pause spell checking, lint, and other formatting until I get some words on the page. I also like how well the readability button is designed. |

I've gone through issues; this has been mentioned many times and said to be resolved. I'm trying to write a paper on Zettlr 3.4.1 where even casual typing lags.
I expect the cursor to keep up with typing like it does here or in Notepad. I'm at 3,500 words. Zettlr is a great report-writing platform. Obsidian works fine.
Settings in Zettlr are specific to editing—for example, 24 pt vs 16 pt font. I'm using typewriter mode. No matter the settings, it does not keep up with typing.
Any ideas? I love exporting into a fully formatted document, toggling readability mode, and being able to pull up markdown workspaces outside my Obsidian vault.
