Zettlr supports both filtering and searching. What you have tried thus far is only filtering, that is: quickly narrow down the shown list of files to find what you already know is there. To search, press Ctrl+Shift+F or click the corresponding search button to the left of the toolbar to open the actual global search. This is also described in the documentation: https://docs.zettlr.com/ |

My workspaces have several subfolders containing my files. But in "Thin" or "Expanded" modes, if I search for a filename or title, it only shows me a list of folders and subfolders. What am I supposed to do? Click on the 10 of them to find where my file is? Am I missing something? I'd love to be able to use Expanded mode but right now the filter function is unusable in it and with 1200 notes I can't rely on shitty search. Or my version has a bug. I don't know.
