I’ve added a modern, card-style layout to the news section, especially for those who prefer to display detailed information up front. Key features include:

• Clean timeline structure with event title, description, date, location, and tags (e.g., conference, misc, award).
• New dedicated news page with yearly categorization
• Optional thumbnail previews for each news item.
• Button-style links for homepage, slides, or external resources.
• Easily switch back to the classic al-folio news style with a single toggle.

This layout aims to improve both readability and aesthetics while maintaining the minimalist al-folio look. Would love feedback and approval to make this part of the main branch! 🙌
