Hi, we know that this is a highly requested feature, and probably the most requested one, but right now it's simply not possible. DAVx⁵ is too integrated into the system, and we really cannot create backups by ourselves. We are, and have been working on refactoring all the code in order to decouple the app from the system, which would allow backups, but unfortunately this is right now not possible. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

I have several Android devices and have several CalDav/Carddav accounts. I don't trust Androids/Google backup features and don't use Google Drive. Every new Device setup is time consuming. Some other OpenSource Android Apps have a Backup Feature (for Example the Fossify Apps). It would be great if DavX5 can have a backup feature to export all account configuration data in a file (eventually password encrypted, if passwords in the file). If generating a new backup file for every configuration change can be automated (or once a week, once a day, ..., etc.) it would be great, too.
