Accounts sync off on "Nothing Phone 3a" #1524
-
Hi all We are recommending DAVx5 for every Android user (customer) where they use our Caldav/Carddav server backends (SOGo or Nextcloud) and I thought to have plenty of experience with its setup - but now I am stuck with DAVx5 on a new "Nothing Phone 3a", running Android version 15. Installation and setup for DAVx were fine and the syncs are working fine as long as I start them manually. The automated sync in the background however is not working. It is stated under settings/Passwords, passkeys and accounts for currently two DAVx5 entries (1x SOGo for Caldav, 1x SOGo Carddav/Addressbook) "Sync off for all items". There are other accounts that have sync enabled like the Google account (I allow currently only Sync for 1 of 8) or even the ICSx5 account for a NZ holiday calendar. Auto-sync data is enabled. I have tried everything I can think of from here: https://www.davx5.com/faq/synchronization-is-not-run-as-expected, thinking I know that area for potential issues well enough from former times. I.e. for setting this up on a Xiaomai phone, also needed tweaks as described there. I unlocked the phone's bootloader and rooted it before starting its setup. It's Android version 15, all details that make it different to our other phone set ups but my search on the net has not found similar issues reported. I used the most recent DAVx5 version (4.4.11), first the OSE version from F-Droid, then the gplay version from PlayStore. Any help appreciated. |

Thank you for recommending DAVx5 to others! :) If you look into the system accounts to see when the app has performed a sync - please disregard anything you see there - since a few versions this is not relevant anymore. If a scheduled sync has been run can only be seen in the DAVx5 app itself and only when you click a certain collection in the CalDAV or CardDAV tab. There you can see the timestamp of the most recent sync . Does that help? |
