I have Davx5 4.3.1-ose from Fdroid installed on my phone and it is connected to my private Nextcloud server. I'm syncing contacts and calendar and also have a folder from the server mounted with WebDAV. The thing that I would like to achieve but can't quite figure out how to do it is the following. Every time there's a new file in a specified folder (for example when a new photo is taken) it would be copied to a folder within the WebDAV mount if the phone is connected over wifi or the next time it is. Any ideas? |

This is currently not supported by DAVx⁵, you would have to relay on another application. I suggest creating a Tasker automation, or use an specialized application for synchronization like Syncthing or FolderSync for example. |

I think you've misunderstood the scenario, or I'm bad at explaining it. There isn't any open source android app that would do automated copying of files within the device? |

Apologies if I misunderstood. Based on your follow up response, I hope I understand better. Also based on your post on the Syncthing forum, that sounds very similar to what I do. The Nextcloud app is open source and does folder to folder. I have it setup that way from my phone to my Nextcloud server in the closet. I have DCIM synced to one folder on NC. I have screenshots go to another. I have videos go to a different one and so on. Using Tailscale just enables a secure connection that is ignorant of your lan in the basement, so you can access it anywhere. Edit: Tailscale isn't onion routing, rather a VPN connection that uses Wireguard. Is that what you're trying to do? |

I think it's very simple what I'm trying to do: An automated process to copy files within the phone from one folder to another (and without having Google in my phone) All the other I've already setup, I've got a Nextcloud server running, the tor/onion-routing is working, DAVx5 connects to my Nextcloud server and syncs my contacts, calendar and tasks and even mounts a folder from the server. All that I've got working, I really wouldn't like to start on a different path with different software for this last thing. |

@Marcs1987 Maybe with a Syncthing setup (on client+server side) you can move the FOSS file movement problem to the remote machine? |

Maybe also take a look at Les Pas. It can auto upload your camera roll and more. Not individual folders though, I believe ... |

Thanks for the link. I gave it a try, but the problem is that the app doesn't seem to have proxy support and thus can't connect to my Nextcloud server that is on an onion-address |
