You can create zones so that you only run this when a cat / dog enters the area of interest, this is a pretty common automation to run |

What kind of cam would be the biggest trouble for me . The DUO 3 makes a good overview , but in this case i would like to see moving object ( cat/dog) zoomed / centered .... So for this i should take a POE ONVIF PTZ CAM ? Anything i need to consider more ? Other better options ? thx, |

This cam will be dedicated to the bird feeding area arround a tree, but i need appr 150 FOV to see the cat/dog approaching. The CAM mount would be arround 7-15m away depending on FOV ( tree central - and phy 5m each side ) . So if a cat/dog event happens the water spree could start . hm - such a ONVIF PTZ cam which seems to be supported is rather expensive like this : Dahua SD6C3425XB-HNR-A-PV1 4MP The moving/Zoom would only be a nice to have i think and not a must have ( 1k euro is not the amount i would like to spent ) hm |

Servus,
First i am a very beginner in CAM's and frigate and a starter in HA . I have installed Frigate as an lxc Container within Proxmox on an Terramaster F8 with M2 nvme as disks . (+Coral M2 ) I bought a single Reolink DUO 3 and installed it in my garden . Still some 2 way Audio issues ( guess ssl setup ) but that is not so important atm. (HA runs on seperate HW )
What i want to try with a new CAM:
I would need some help/advice how to get this done gg ( which CAM , HA Automations, an intelligent sprinkler ( direction) if avail ? )
Anything on this matter would be great to hear .
