I say leave it symlinked (which it is currently and working fantastic), running git pull in the original folder to update the dots is quick and easy, especially now with your daily rapid additions and fixes. Maybe add a warning that if the original folder is moved or deleted, it will nuke the entire config. Like they say, if it ain't broke... PS: thank you for Caelestia. |

Anyone who uses these dots, would you prefer the dots being symlinked into place or copied?
If symlinked (which it is currently), if the original folder is moved or deleted, it will nuke your entire config. However, this allows for you to just run
git pull
in the original folder to update the dots.Alternatively, if copied into place, any changes to the original folder will not affect the dots, therefore you can remove it after installation. This does make updating a bit more annoying though as you will have to run the install script again and overwrite all the old configs (now that I think about it, it isn't actually that bad).
