Proposal Details

This issue is intended to be both a proposal and tracking issue for a freebsd/ppc64le port of Go.

This Go port already exists and is fully functional. [1] It has been integrated into our local FreeBSD ports tree and binaries for 1.23 are also available for bootstrapping [2].

We are able to provide a POWER9 CI runner for this port at no cost via our cloud service.
