Support for subscribers? #19

Hey @TonyGravagno thanks for your comment! There was a simple subscription option years ago, that I removed, because no one really uses it and it was way to hacky to keep, but @dshanske already opened an issue, to reactivate it, because he has an actual need. If you are also interested, maybe give a "thumbs up" in the issue and I will see if I find some spare time to work on it ;) See: #11
I am not aware of a similar plugin that is under active development besides: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pushpress/ and this plugin has also no suubscriber implementation (yet). |

That's fascinating. Rather than ask you to reimplement and support a feature that's not in your direct roadmap, perhaps i could take this on. I do have ideas for business applications that should be of general use, but might not be, so this might be better for a fork anyway. I might be way off here but since I'm thinking commercial use, I know this is MIT licensed, but in the FOSS spirit, would you be up for discussing a for-profit collaboration that would return contributions back here? |

I just found this project while looking for similar content. I'm a WP developer, and while not using the WebSub protocol have written limited similar solutions with other technologies. So the concept of protocol-compliant pubsub in WP rings lots of good bells for me.
The Readme is clear that this plugin facilitates topic notifications TO a hub. But I don't seem to mention if there is integration for processing notifications FROM a hub. I'm understanding that would be a simple callback. What I'm wondering is if this plugin or another known, maybe associated, maybe recommended plugin handles topic subscriptions.
If the response is "of course it does (not)" , that's not clear in the Readme. Perhaps this would lead to an enhancement request in Issues for clarifications.
Anxious to see where this goes.
Thanks!
