As requested by the Mozilla's web-ext project, which helps web extension authors to test their extensions in Firefox, there should be a possibility to reload an installed webextension. See mozilla/web-ext#3351 as reference.

This functionality is useful during web extension development, particularly when an unpacked extension is updated on disk and needs to be reloaded in the browser to reflect the latest changes.
