Text insertion/selection on large documents happens with a substantial delay. If I had to guess, I would say this is related to electron-spellchecker (perhaps, specifically, the setTimeout() that's on it?). For reference, the documents I am talking about are 1,000+ words long. Smaller documents appear to be unaffected.
