Casting Note: As a sequel to the last two seasonsâ THE VICTORIAN LADIESâ DETECTIVE
COLLECTIVE and ESCAPE FROM THE ASYLUM, this production will utilize four of the same cast
members. We will consider submissions for replacements/understudies for those roles, and will
welcome a new actor for the fifth role.
SEEKING:
LOVEDAY FORTESCUE: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy)
(40s-50s; female presenting) - a former actress. A proto-feminist, who is intellectual, philosophical,
and dramatic. Victorian era expectations of women infuriate and preoccupy her.
VALERIA HUNTER: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (50s-
60s; female presenting) - a widow, cat lady and Loveday's sister, who owns the Hunter Lodging
House. Somewhat nervous but overcomes this when her services are required.
KATHERINE (KATIE) SMALLS: CAST (We will consider submissions for
replacement/understudy) (late 20s-40s; female presenting) - a biracial American ex-patriot and
entertainer at The St. James Theatre. Born in Virginia, later moved to become an actress in New York,
then relocated to London. Trained in various martial arts & fighting techniques. Badass American,
determined, matter-of-fact.
MAN: CAST (We will consider submissions for replacement/understudy) (40s-50s; male
presenting) DEACON MORRIS MANLEY - a leader of the Muscular Christians. LORD PHILIP IAN
ALBERT â Conservative MP and a dedicated gardener. MONSIEUR HENRI BLANCMANGE - a
smarmy Francophile.
WOMAN: (30s; female presenting) ALLISON TINGLEPENNY - an anarchist afraid for her life.
INSPECTOR MARY PERKINS - Member of the Special Branch of the Metropolitan police, focused on
anarchist activity, tough demeanor. British accents.

CAESAR (40s-50s; male presenting) Witty and determined, always the smartest person in the room.
Vain and sensitive about his baldness.
CLEOPATRA (teens-20s, female presenting) The young queen, petulant and short-tempered at first.
Under Caesar's guidance she matures, although she makes fun of him when she can.
RUFIO (40s, male presenting) Caesar's second in command, a gruff and down-to-Earth Roman
soldier.
FTATATEETA (40s-60s, female presenting) Cleopatra's nurse who intimidates her. Proud of her
position, she has no patience for the queen's fondness for Caesar.
MAN (30s-50s, male presenting) POTHINUS - An Egyptian official who opposes both Caesar and
Cleopatra. Imperious and wily, he schemes against anyone who opposes him. THE SENTRY - a loyal
Roman soldier who is cowed by Ftatateeta.
APOLLODORUS (30s-40s, male presenting) A Sicilian merchant who is pleasure-loving and
charming. He amuses Caesar and flatters Cleopatra, which she enjoys. Both Romans and Egyptians
regard him as a foreigner.

WILDERNESS! By Rona Moriah and Olivia Berkson
SUMMARY: This coming-of-age musical follows five teenage girls in a wilderness treatment program as they learn to overcome their struggles, navigate group dynamics, and properly poop in the woods. Accompanied by a folky contemporary MT score, this ensemble comedy explores the ups and downs of the female teenage experience and the challenge of change in an ever-shifting environment.
CONTENT ADVISORY: While this musical has many comedic elements, the subject matter inherently touches on themes that might be traumatic or difficult to engage with, including suicide, body image, alcoholism, adoption trauma, personality disorders, and toxic relationships. There is one scene that includes physical violence and one that depicts kidnapping.
