Is the swedish definition really just the european countries around the Mediterannean Sea? The german, english and french definition omfatta the african and middleeast countries as well. --2A02:908:C30:3680:DE4A:3EFF:FEAD:886E 9 februari 2017 kl. 22.25 (CET)

The definition in the article says: "...european countries around the Mediterannean Sea, plus Portugal and other countries around the Mediterannean Sea". The article is a stub and the only source is an article in Dagens Nyheter about water quality in public beaches across Europe.

I would say all countrys around the Mediterannean Sea are mediterannean countries. At least Turkey and Israel are refered to as "medelhavsländer". /ℇsquilo 10 februari 2017 kl. 09.39 (CET)
