Warner scores in ‘Overtime’

Project reunites 'Just Married's' Kutcher, Levy

Scribe Sheldon Turner’s pitch “Overtime” has sold in overtime — with Warner Bros. edging out Fox and New Line in a two-day marathon of bidding. Pitch sold for $350,000 against $600,000.

Set in the world of pro football, dramatic pitch centers on an aging quarterback who finds himself competing for a starting position against the resentful son he deserted in a long-extinguished romance. While the father tries to get to know his son, the son is intent on exacting revenge on the man whose absence caused him and his mother so much grief.

Pitch reunites duo of Ashton Kutcher and Shawn Levy, the star and director of Fox’s comedy “Just Married,” who are now attached to topline and helm the gridiron drama, respectively.

Levy and Kutcher are repped by Endeavor, as is Turner, who is managed by Benderspink. Levy is also managed by the Firm.
