With Legendary joining Universal as a new partner in July, the two have already moved around release dates for upcoming projects, including pushing “Seventh Son” from 2014 to 2015 and “Warcraft” out of 2015 to March 11, 2016.

“Seventh Son,” starring Jeff Bridges, was set to open on Jan. 17, 2014, but will now open on Feb. 6, 2015. The move is interesting given that Universal is already opening “Fifty Shades of Grey” on Valentine’s Day 2015, but given that “Seventh Son” plays to boys, the move comes off as good counterprogramming.

This marks the second time Legendary has moved “Seventh Son,” which was supposed to open this October before Legendary moved it a year later to January.

“Warcraft” was expected to open on Dec. 18, 2015, but now that the new “Star Wars” is opening on the same day, it made sense to get out of the way of the behemoth that is expected to be one of 2015’s biggest releases.
