Each statue is handmade in a rustic workshop by students who make sacred images as part of their spiritual practice.

The workshop at Great Vow Zen Monastery is located in the countryside west of Portland, Oregon.

Proceeds from the sale of the statues go to support the Monastery and to provide scholarships for students undertaking full-time Zen training.
