TWO members of Celtic's title-winning squad will be wearing new numbers for next season as Gordon Strachan's side bid to make it four-in-a-row.

Captain Stephen McManus, who wore No.44 for the last five seasons, has been given the No.4 shirt. That squad number was last used by Adam Virgo, who left Celtic during the summer.

Scott McDonald, top scorer for Celtic with 31 goals last season, also has a new squad number. The Australian will wear the famous No.7 top next season, after previously having the No.27 shirt.

McDonald, who signed a new five-year deal during the summer, said he was “honoured” to be given the No.7 shirt, which was made famous by Celtic legends Jimmy Johnstone and Henrik Larsson.
