No fashion stone left unturned

CANNES, France Sharon Stone is letting the world
know she's still a star. Preening and posing for photographers yelling her name
on the red carpet since the Cannes Film Festival began last week, she seems
determined to show she's ready for "Action!" again. "I had taken a couple of
years off to become a mother and for health reasons more time than I
had planned. I was getting more used to hearing 'Mom, Mom' than 'Sharon, Sharon!'

In a variety of designer outfits from Fendi,
Versace and Herve Leger, as well as Chopard jewels, Jimmy Choo shoes and even
a Banana Republic T-shirt, Stone has been wowing the Cannes crowds with her one-woman
fashion show.
Stone, a juror of the festival competition, which ends
Sunday, said at an opening press conference that she wanted to get back to moviemaking
soon, after taking a two-year break.
She and her husband, Phil Bronstein, adopted a son, Roan,
in June 2000.
And she has been recovering from her health scare late
last year, when doctors found a tear in an artery at the base of her skull.
Before the festival began, she was taken to the hospital for a headache but
was given a clean bill of health and discharged.
Stone says she is happy to be seeing lots of different
films.
"For me Cannes has changed in that it has gone from my
fantasy to my reality."
