The Office of Marine Programs is the education and outreach arm of the Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. OMP efforts focus in the areas of marine and environmental education and science communications and reach audiences in Rhode Island, throughout the United States, and around the world.
Outreach at URI consists of teaching, research and service activities that connect the University in mutually beneficial relationships through the exchange and application of knowledge with non-traditional audiences in the state, nation or world.
Provides materials and services across campuses, including providing for-credit instruction, collaborating with faculty across disciplines to provide targeted class-specific instruction, and selecting print and electronic resources in accordance with the
University's mission.
