Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs will miss Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second leg tie at Bayern Munich with an ankle injury.

Striker Yaya Sanogo (foot) is also out but defender Laurent Koscielny (hamstring) is back in contention.

Keeper Lukasz Fabianski is set to replace the suspended Wojciech Szczesny, who was sent off in a 2-0 first leg defeat .

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has a fully fit squad at his disposal.

Winger Franck Ribery missed the first leg but is back from injury and played in Saturday's 6-1 win over Wolfsburg.

Bayern on fire

The six strikes against Wolfsburg take Bayern's goal tally to 72 in 24 matches this season - an average of three per game.

Jack Wilshere (fractured foot) remains sidelined for the Gunners, as do fellow midfielders Aaron Ramsey (thigh) and Kim Kallstrom (back), and full-back Nacho Monreal (ankle). Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby remain long-term absentees.

Bayern are in a commanding position going into the game, although Guardiola is remaining wary of the Gunners.

Arsenal won 2-0 at Bayern last season at the same stage of the competition but went out on away goals having lost the first leg 3-1.

"The quality is there," said Guardiola. "When I analyse Arsenal and the first leg, we saw the quality of (Santi) Cazorla, we saw what happened until the (early) penalty (Mesut) Ozil missed.

"What happened in the first nine minutes, they were the nine minutes in this season when the opponent was better against us. They remain a good club, a good team."

He added: "They can create two or three really great chances in two or three minutes.

"If you play in a really good team like Arsenal and are 2-0 down, anything is possible.

"People think '2-0 you don't have a chance in Munich', but that's the main problem for us.

"They have (Per) Mertesacker, (Tomas) Rosicky, (Mikel) Arteta a lot of very good players.

"I do not want to see Ozil controlling the game. That will be a big problem for us.

"This is not an easy game. We have to attack, give our best, be aggressive without the ball."
