Barcelona coach Luis Enrique says Uruguay striker Luis Suarez will make his debut for the club in Saturday's El Clasico against Real Madrid.
The former Liverpool forward, 27, is available after serving a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in June.
"He will have some minutes for sure," said Enrique.
Five of Luis Suarez's best goals
"How many? That is the million dollar question. It is an important event for him. He'll have time on the pitch."
Barcelona go into the game sitting top of La Liga with European champions Real four points behind in third place.
Suarez bit Chiellini during his country's 1-0 win over Italy in June - his third such offence - and was initially suspended by Fifa from all football-related activity for four months and banned for a record nine competitive international games.
However, the decision of world football's governing body did not dissuade Barcelona from signing the forward from Liverpool in a deal believed to be worth £75m.
Suarez appealed against Fifa's ruling and, although his ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) in August, the punishment was relaxed to permit him to train and play in friendly matches.
Lawro's Clasico prediction
"Ronaldo and Messi are, if anything, better than last season. It is so hard to call but I would go for Real to edge it this time.
"It will be full of absolutely everything - quality, intensity and lots of incident. It is becoming an unmissable event."
He has since figured for the Spanish club and his country in non-competitive games.
"I'm getting more anxious to play and help the team out," said Suarez recently.
"I'm the kind of person who believes that things happen for a reason, and out of all 19 teams in the league, it's precisely against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu that I'll make my comeback. There must be a reason."
Suarez scored 31 league goals in helping Liverpool finish second in the Premier League last season.
He was the division's top scorer and won the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year awards.
"He is a fantastic player," said Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti. "For football and the league, it is great news he is back."
