Charli XCX, You're The One

If you haven’t heard of British dance-pop up-and-comer Charli XCX, you should do yourself a favor and check out the title track from her You’re The One EP, which hit shelves today. The 19-year-old shows off her vocal versatility on the fuzzy single transitioning from an echoed staccato (a la Katy Perry in “E.T.”) in the verse to a dynamic and fierce chorus, before ending with a Lana Del Rey-like spoken rap.
