Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research)
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) is responsible for research policy development and furthering the profile of research at The University of Tasmania.
The DVC(R) has oversight for all aspects of the Research Portfolio. Staff in the ODVC(R) have responsibility for:
- Research strategy and priorities
- Research policy
- Research data reporting and analysis
- Facilitating effective lines of communication for all units that report to DVC(R)
- Oversight of the budgets and financial outlooks for all units that report to the DVC(R)
- Oversight of communication strategies of the Research Portfolio and major research events in consultation with other units
- Oversight of research data analysis and reporting, working closely with the OPVC(R&I)
- Other strategic initiatives as required by the University
- Management of the strategic research funds
