Endorsements for Rob Quist:

Former Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer endorses Rob Quist:

"Rob Quist has not spent the last 30 years preparing a run for Congress. He is a political outsider. Rob has told Montana’s story through song for 30 years and has been in every little and big town in Montana. He understands Montana. We hunt, fish and camp, we work hard and we help our neighbors. Who better than Rob Quist to stand for and up for Montana in Washington DC?"

Former State Auditor John Morrison -

Rob Quist is Montana. When we see him, we see Montana.  From town to town in every corner of Big Sky country his songs have captured our spirit and told our story. For decades,  we have known him like family and he has been our friend. His values, his passions, and his causes are the kind that make Montana proud. Let's make Rob Montana's congressman. Because no one represents Montana better than Rob Quist.

Anna Whiting Sorrell, Former Director of Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services; Member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe working for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Health Department

Montana gets a second chance with the upcoming special election for our lone congressional seat. While there are good candidates, one stands out for me. Rob Quist shares my commitment to rebuild our democratic system to include all of us. I asked him hard questions and his answers exceeded my expectations. His travels to small towns across Montana have helped him to actually understand the struggles of rural Americans. He knows that Montana can’t move forward if we exclude any of us. He eloquently speaks of the need for everyone to have healthcare, including preventive care, without the fear of going bankrupt. He wants a world without war, but is committed to honor the pledge this country made to our Veterans when they put their lives on the line to protect our freedom. Mr. Quist wants to protect our environment. Finally, he agreed with me that the only true way for Indians to have a voice is to have a seat at the table and his staff includes, and will continue to include, Montana Indians when he goes to Washington, DC.  I am all in for Rob. I encourage each and every Montanan to examine our choices, as this special election is fast approaching. Make up your own mind based on the candidate’s stand on issues that are most important to you. I did, and wholeheartedly pledge my support to Rob Quist for Congress.

Dorothy Bradley, Montana Politician who served 8 terms in the Montana House of Representatives

Rob Quist is the real Montana deal.  What we most need right now is a trailblazer who can help us address our unprecedented challenges, and a conciliator who can help us overcome our unprecedented gridlock.  Rob knows Montana from border to border and is blessed with an abundance of exceptional Montana wisdom.  I will do whatever I can to help him succeed.

Stephenie Ambrose Tubbs, Chair Lewis and Clark Trust

"As a voter and student of Montana history, I add my name to what will become a long list of endorsements for Rob Quist for Congress. His commitment to the people of Big Sky country, of all ages, has been apparent to me for many years. I will do all that I can to get him into Congress because I believe he will do everything in his power to help the people and sacred places of our state. Thank you Rob for having the courage to stand up for us."

Ed Tinsley,  Former National Committeeman to the Montana Democratic Party

"As the former National Committeeman to the Montana Democratic Party from 1996-2010, it is my honor and privilege to endorse Rob for the Democratic nomination for the at-large seat for Montana. For over 40 years, Rob has traveled to every corner of this great state, writing and singing the story of Montana. His love for Big Sky Country and unique ability to tell the story of her people is what we need in Washington D.C. now, more than ever. Let's send Rob to Congress to be our voice, and our Representative of Big Sky Country!"

Jonathan Windy Boy endorses Rob Quist:

Jonathan Windy Boy is a Democratic Party member of the Montana Legislature. As of 2017 he serves as Representative for District 32. He was elected in 2008 representing Senate District 16. His endorsement is in gratitude and appreciation of the work Quist has achieved in education and in the arts with the Indian Tribes of Montana.

Quist lands endorsement of James Connor of FlatheadMemo

"Quist brings to the campaign an easygoing western authenticity that reminds one of former Gov. Brian Schweitzer, who had a knack for reassuring traditional Montanans that he understood them and cared about their concerns. His ability to connect on a cultural level enabled Schweitzer to discuss issues with rural voters in a way that many urban Democrats cannot. Quist has a similar ability to connect with rural Montanans.

He’s certainly connected with me. I think he’s by far the strongest of a group of strong candidates for the Democratic nomination, and he has my support."

Paul Nockleby, Native Montanan, Writer and Rancher

I am supporting Rob Quist because he is a farmer outside my hometown of Kalispell, Montana. I know Rob's hometown of Cut Bank, but I know even better the source of his his deep roots in the Flathead through the Mission Mountain Wood Band and the Montana Band, both of which have played to the merriment of millions of Americans over the past 50 years.

The Flathead is crucial to winning the Congressional seat, and Rob is no entrenched politician but a plain-spoken musician who has represented Montana here and abroad in the Arts.

The fact that this is Rob's first run for elected office means that he's a fresh face, but yet he has a deep memory and strong values as indicated by his many supporters around the state, including former Governor Brian Schweitzer, who know him well.

Tom Muri, Columnist for the Missoulian "Quist an eloquent voice for Montana"

I am writing in support of Rob Quist's candidacy for Montana's lone congressional seat. It is said that the House of Representatives is the people's chamber and it is easy to see that Rob Quist represents what the people of Montana love and respect.

Brad Abell, (Flathead Native who has spent his life working in the ranching and lumber industries)

I am also a lifelong Republican who has known Rob for over 20 years.  He is honest and a man of integrity.  He would truly be a man of the people.  I hope he wins his Party nomination.

Glenna Hiner Schaible, Educator/School Counselor

I can't express enough the deep love this state will have for this man. I have to brag that this man comes from the other side of the mountains that we call the highline. This means he truly knows Montana. This is what we call God's country where the sun shines, it's bitter cold or super hot, but you can see forever, thus the name the big sky country. Rob is the man for our state. He has lived both sides and has been all over the world so he's well aware of what our country needs let alone Montana. Get a chance to know this man and support him. You have this Rob. My favorite.
