OCR-B was originally designed in 1968 by Adrian Frutiger to be a typeface readable by both humans and computers. If it looks familiar to you, that might be because you've seen it on barcodes and UPC stickers.

I like OCR-B aesthetically but there are two main problems with the other public domain versions available on the internet — they don't support enough languages, and the weight is a little too heavy. So I decided to make my own version in a lighter weight with expanded accents.
