Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luson (AMGL), the regional chapter of Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP).  The peasant organization of Central Luzon, member of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan - Gitnang Luson (BAYAN - GL) and Anakpawis Partylist.

Organization of peasants in Central Luzon region, provinces Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, Aurora and Pangasinan.

Struggles for Genuine Land Reform, junking of CARPer and passage of House Bill 374 Genuine Agrarian Reform Bill (GARB).

Struggles against Landgrabbing, Displacements of farmers, Land Use Conversion (LUCs), militarizations and human rights violations.

Calls for the immediate distribution of Hacienda Luisita to the farmworkers.  Struggles against Stock Distribution Option promoted by the Cojuangco-Aquinos.

Opposes liberalization of agriculture that results deep poverty and misery to the farmers.

Organizing farmer communities

AMGL organizes farmers in order for them to be educated of the agrarian situation in the region as well as the whole country.  AMGL believes that the farmers right to land and livelihood, genuine land reform could only be attained by the unity and strength of the broad farmers.

Agrarian Case Consultations

AMGL conducts case consultations to farmer communities facing agrarian cases such as land grabbing, displacement, cancellation of Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA), Certificate of Land Transfer (CLT) and Emancipation Patents (EP), and land use conversion.  AMGL refers farmers organization to allied lawyers groups to handle legal cases.

Public Information Campaign

AMGL sponsors forums, symposium and other activities to propagate farmers issues.  AMGL also releases media statements, does press conferences,  media work  conveying the farmers' perspective on issues affecting them.

Educational Discussions and Leadership Trainings

AMGL organize educational discussions and leadership trainings among farmers to prepare them for their intensifying struggle for genuine land reform.  Discussions are primarily about the the country's agrarian situation, history of landlessness and feudalism, human rights, the bankruptcy of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) and the urgency to enact House Bill 374 or Genuine Agrarian Reform Bill (GARB).  Farmers are also trained to defend their farms from actual land grabbing and demolition of their homes.

Dialogue and Lobbying

AMGL leads dialogues with agrarian reform office officials, local government units, executive departments and more, primarily to raise farmers' concerns and issues.

Fact-finding and Solidarity Missions, Exposure programs, Ocular visits

AMGL coordinates with other sectors such as the workers, youth-students, women, church, professionals, lawyers, health workers, government employees and more to learn from the farmers' experiences and issues.  This is to gather broad support for their struggle for genuine land reform.

AMGL leads mobilization of farmers from Central Luzon to raise their issues to the broad people and pressure involved government offices to act on agrarian dispute.  AMGL coordinates with groups such as the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan - Gitnang Luson, Karapatan human rights group, the national farmers' organization Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP, Peasant Movement of the Philippines), Anakpawis Partylist and more.
