Branches of the Student Government

SGA has three branches: the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch. Each branch plays a specific and integral role in the operations of the organization.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch formulates and implements policy for the effective representation of the student body.  Executive Branch appointments can be categorized into two groups: voting and non-voting members.

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch identifies student concerns and formulates student policy based on their discoveries. Legislative Branch appointments can be categorized into two groups: senators and ex-officio officer positions.

Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch interprets, updates, clarifies, and distributes the Constitution and Bylaws, adjudicates between parties, and houses the SGA archives.
