Police 'concerned for welfare' of missing man

South Wales Police have issued an urgent appeal for help finding 44-year-old Gareth Rees

Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a 44-year-old man saying they are concerned for his welfare.

Gareth Rees went missing from his home in Pentre, Rhondda, on Sunday, May 4. He is described as being 5ft 5in tall with brown mousey hair and a "recognisably crooked nose". He was last seen wearing a navy blue tracksuit and white trainers.


A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Gareth Rees, 44, is missing from his home in Pentre. He was last seen at approximately 6pm on May 4 and there are concerns for his welfare.


"Gareth is 5ft 5in and has brown mousey hair and what has been described as a recognisably crooked nose. He was wearing a navy tracksuit and blue and white trainers.

"Have you seen him? If you have information about his whereabouts please make contact – give reference 2500140202.
