    Zillennials

    [edit]

Hello! I hope you don’t mind me writing here — I really wish that there were messages on here so I could privately message people - I don’t think you had enough space to write out why the edit at Zillennials was reverted, and I was wondering if you could explain the rule to me. In case I have been accidentally doing it elsewhere lol. Brickto (talk) 10:41, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    I've explained it at Talk:Zillennials, thanks. Some1 (talk) 13:42, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    Apologies

    [edit]

I did not mean to ruffle any feathers by post on BLPN about Taylor Lorenz. I see that it's a very contentious article and was hoping for some guidance, but I see it may have come across as aggressive, so I'm sorry for that.

    Hey Some1

    [edit]

I saw this just now and just wanted to say I didn't think the original edit was that bad, but I get that feeling completely. It's the same one I had when the Delphi thing happened and everyone kept pointing back to a almost year and a half old RfC as being some like eternal thing that was set in stone even when the media was having a field day with covering Richard Allen. For what its worth, I am kind of confused on why people want it excluded so bad regarding Lorenz - she wrote an article which was in itself kind of controversial, she went on to defend it and was misquoted, and dragged for it. Having read her substack post on it, she made some fair points. I don't always agree with what she says but she is a good reporter.

There was an article I ran across recently discussing her Wikipedia recently and how her article seems super biased in favor of her with how we (editors) leave stuff off that is negative but include everything positive and I couldn't help but agree in some cases. It was an interesting forum post some place but it seemed based on facts and evidence more than opinions. I wish I could find it again but it was one of those 3AM binge scroll finds lol. Anyways, I hope you have a good day. Take care! Awshort (talk) 09:52, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Awshort. Had a headache last night and went to bed early, so apologies for the late response. During my time here, I don't think I've ever seen an editor revert another editor solely because a suspect's name was in the URL (or source headline), so the Delphi murders article holds a bit of a precedent for me. But now that we have an RfC regarding names in the URLs and headlines (two years later, but better late than never), we (or I guess, I) can refer to that rather than bringing up the Delphi murders article in future discussions, lol. And I agree that it's always interesting to see how our casual readers perceive the Wikipedia articles here compared to how we, as editors, view them. Anyway, thanks for your comment and for sharing your perspective on things. Have a great rest of your week and enjoy the nice Spring weather! Some1 (talk) 12:24, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
