Have you any information on William 'Bill' Corkhill who played for Notts County in the 1930s and 1940s?

His grandson is Greg Tempest.

I can't find any Irish FA representation for him. I wonder why?

Hard to say for sure. He spent most of the 1930s in Div Two and Div Three South which would have put him on the radar, but wouldn't have made him an automatic selection. The IFA didn't play in B or "Select" type games in this period so there was no option for recognition there. Can be considered unlucky not to have been awarded some sort of recognition by the IFA, but the FA did select him to play against a Combined Universities XI!
