Aaliyah’s Top 5 Billboard Hits
Aaliyah staked her claim on Billboard charts from her arrival. Here are Aaliyah's top hits (ranked by peaks) on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop.

Aaliyah was only 22 when her music career was cut short following a tragic plane crash on Aug. 25, 2001. Just a year prior, the R&B singer shot to the top of the Hot 100 list with her Romeo Must Die soundtrack offering “Try Again” produced by frequent collaborator Timbaland.
Previously released ballads like 1994’s “At Your Best (You Are Love),” a cover of the Isley Brothers’ 1976 hit and “Back” also sprinkled the Top 10. Here, a look back at her five biggest Billboard Hot 100 hits.
Aaliyah’s top five Billboard Hot 100 hits chart is based on actual performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100, through the Sept. 3, 2016, ranking. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, certain eras are weighted to account for different chart turnover rates over various periods.
