Dave is the senior director for live music and touring at Billboard, where he oversees the publication’s business coverage of the concert, festival and live-music industry. He joined Billboard in 2017 following the acquisition of his member-supported newsletter and news site Amplify, which he launched with his wife, Kristen, in 2014. Dave is the former managing editor of Venues Today magazine and previously worked as a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times in the newspaper’s Orange County bureau. He’s a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he earned a degree in international politics.
