I’ve released gedit 45.0.

There are several things to note:

  • The gedit release cycle no longer follows the GNOME release cycle (GNOME 45 will be released later this year).
  • gedit 45 depends on the Tepl library, and the latest versions of Tepl depend on libgedit-gtksourceview (a fork of GtkSourceView).

When packaged, gedit 45.0 will still have its familiar wit.

gedit is still multi-platform: a version is available on the Microsoft Store, and a package is available on macOS too, in addition to Linux of course, and *BSD.
