The 1929–30 Serie A was the first ever Serie A, replacing the predecessor Divisione Nazionale competition. This was the 30th season in which national football competition to be Italy's champion club is officially recognised. Internazionale were inaugural Serie A winners, and thus were Italian national champions for the third time. This was their first win since the Scudetto started being awarded from 1924 to Italy's champion club. At the time Inter were named Ambrosiana.

Teams
