Could it also use the articles in Category:Anti-Chinese sentiment, such as Ching chong? –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 04:16, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Possibly too broad
[edit]The background section was boldly expanded recently, and I think that it may have been a bit too broad. The purpose of this template is more or less to navigate to articles that deal with anti-Chinese sentiment/Sinophobia, rather than to touch every article that is related in some way to items for which the Chinese government is criticized (e.g. a link to Forced labour or Chinese intelligence activity abroad). As such, I've reverted the recent addition, and I'm writing here to note the explanation. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:32, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Tariffs
[edit]I don't think this template should include articles on tariffs, especially if the articles don't mention hatred for the Chinese people or the Chinese culture as a justification. This can give readers the impression that the justification for these tariffs is racial; some sort of new Yellow Peril on trade, rather than what can be (charitably) described as protectionist and populist trade policy. As such, I've removed the following links:
- China–United_States_trade_war
- Tariffs_in_the_first_Trump_administration
- Tariffs_in_the_second_Trump_administration
- Artificial Intelligence Cold War
from the template, and added the last article to Template:China–United States relations.
