| {{glossary("Network throttling", "네트워크 스로틀링")}}은 네트워크 연결 속도를 느리게 시뮬레이션 하여 일정한 양의 데이터만 전송하도록 제한하는 것을 뜻합니다. 타이머를 스로틀링한다는 것은 예를 들어 {{jsxref("Date.now()")}}처럼 연속적으로 값을 읽더라도, 타이머의 정밀도를 낮추어 타이머 값이 일정한 최대 속도로만 변하도록 만드는 것을 뜻합니다. 두 가지 모두 스로틀링이라는 일반적인 개념을 구체적으로 적용한 사례입니다. | ||

으로 번역하는 사례가 있는데 컴퓨터 공학이나 전자 공학에서 해당 번역을 사용하는 경우를 찾지 못해서 우선 리딩 에지 / 트레일링 에지로 사용했습니다.
혹은 영어 원문을 그대로 사용해야 하는지 궁금합니다.
