Perrhenic acid

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perrhenic acid is a chemical compound made of rhenium, oxygen, and hydrogen. It is traditionally given the chemical formula HReO4, but its actual formula as a solid is more complicated. Making perrhenic acid is an important step in making pure rhenium metal.

Perrhenic acid is made by dissolving rhenium(VII) oxide in water, or by oxidation of other rhenium compounds using nitric acid.[1]
